Step-by-step checklist for starting, marketing and running successful basketball camps.

Your marketing efforts will be deemed irrelevant if your targeted audience doesn’t have the means to support your costs. You can hit your audience over the head with your offerings, but if they don’t have the “mula”, your business will stall!

The question then becomes how can you be sure your targeted audience is right? Three words: location, location, location.

Before I do anything, I’m going to address location. Generally speaking, I’m looking for families that meet the following criteria:

  1. Married
  2. Own a home
  3. Have kids
  4. Earn a certain yearly income
  5. Sports enthusiasts

If these 5 criterions are met, and the targeted families live within a certain distance from gym or basketball court (where camps are being offered), then running basketball camps at that location is a go, as taught within the Monetize Your Basketball Coaching membership.

If those 5 criterions are not met, keep looking.

Footnote, financially challenged families will not meet this criterion. You need to know and decide upfront how you want to handle this. Perhaps, you’ll allocate a pre-designated number of camp scholarships? Just a thought.

In summary, the profitability of your basketball camps will be greatly influenced by the location you choose. Great locations lead to profitable camps. Bad locations lead to famine.
